SAVANNAH CABARET GUIDING PRINCIPLES
- We will always strive to create a positive, friendly, supportive, and fun environment.
- We are not getting rich, going to Broadway, or winning any awards for these shows so if we can’t have fun, why are we doing it?
- We adhere to a strict “no assholes” policy.
- The only drama we want is the one we’re putting on the stage.
- We will always be on time for rehearsal, meetings, and shows.
- Being late is not only detrimental to the production, it’s inconsiderate of your fellow cast members and crew who did what they needed to do to be on time.
- We will always come prepared.
- The small amount of time we have to rehearse together must be supplemented by your own work on your own time working on your lines, lyrics, songs, and characters.
- We will pitch in to help wherever it is needed.
- Everyone does everything including promoting the show since the more butts in seats, the more most cast and crew gets paid.
1:1 Sessions
- All cast members are required to book 2 (two) 1-hour 1:1 sessions between July 30 and August 10 at Club One in the showroom
- We will work your solos, monologues, your parts of the group numbers, and the killer/survivor scene/songs
- Book your sessions on Calendly
SCRIPT
How It Works:
- At intermission, the audience will vote on who they want to be the Killer, who they want to be the Survivor, and on how they want the victims to die.
- Unlike past years, the monologues and songs in Act 2 are the same regardless of whether the character lives or dies. The only difference is the murder weapon with which they are killed and whether or not they are die on stage or off.
- However, the order of the scenes will change, with the Survivor’s monologue and scene moving to the end after everyone else has been killed.
- The Survivor and the Killer then have a scene and song (megamix) that EVERYONE has to learn
