The Cabaret
Co-Host: Trey Norris as Treyla Trash
Trey Norris is honored to be a part of the inaugural show with the Bay Street Cabaret. A native to Savannah, Trey is an active member of The Bay Street Theatre, Collective Face Theatre Ensemble, and is the assistant General Manager at Club One Jefferson. His passion for music and stage gave birth to a drag character known to downtown Savannah as “Treyla Trash,” and is often seen at the Club One Cabaret on Thursday or Sunday evenings. You may have seen him as Frank-N-Furter in The Rocky Horror Show, Christopher Boone in Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night, or Guilliano in Big Love. Trey’s passions include classical music, reading, and the art of female impersonation.
Co-Host: JoJo Ward as Carman iCandy
Carman iCandy, also known as JoJo Ward, is a Savannah native. She developed a love for performing at the young age of 2 years old through singing and dancing along to The Wizard of Oz in her bedroom. She could recite every line and lyric on her own, without even watching the screen. She grew and participated in play productions through school and summer camps, developing an even deeper love for musical theatre. From musicals such as Grease to Into the Woods, every new show she discovered made her officially decide that performing was the career of her dreams. She studied advanced courses throughout high school and went on to obtain her Bachelor’s Degree in Theatre Performance at Armstrong State University. Having captured the first ever finale win of the Club One Star Search competition, Carman also works as an educator at the Savannah Children’s Theatre and choreographs other local community theatre productions. Though ecstatic to finally make the transition from Facebook LIVE to In-person shows with the Bay Street Cabaret, Carman still plans to relocate to New York City in hopes to pursue her dream of performing on a Broadway stage.
Featured Performer: Hannah Dodson
Hannah Dodson is currently a junior at Georgia Southern working towards her BA in Theatre! Some of her recent acting credits include The Laramie Project (GSU), The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time (Collective Face), and Janet in The Rocky Horror Show (Bay Street Theatre). Featured Performer: Daniel J. Hilton
A Savannah native who’s always loved entertaining, Daniel J. stepped into the theater world 10 years ago at Armstrong State University. Before graduating with his Bachelor’s Degree in theater, he worked stage managing shows like Conversations with a Sphinx, Macbeth, and The Drowsy Chaperone; behind the scenes wasn’t enough, so he rolled into the spotlight with roles in Spring Awakening, The Birds, and Godspell. Before leaving for Orlando, Daniel J. also landed the lead role of Dr. Frank N Furter in The Rocky Horror Show with the Bay Street Theater. Now he’s home and excited to be a part of our cast!
Featured Performer: Gwen Leahy
Gwen Leahy is ecstatic to be a part of The Bay Street Cabaret cast. She is an ex-competitive award-winning actress and choral singer, having competed in many one act play, literary, and GMEA competitions throughout her high school and college years. Most recently, however, she has been thrilled to take part in the Bay Street Theater’s annual productions of The Rocky Horror Show, which she has been cast regularly in since 2017. She also is lucky to work backstage with the Club One Cabaret as the resident show DJ and light operator. She thanks everyone for coming out to support the Cabaret and cannot wait to get on with the show!
